Due to heavy traffic and street closures, there will be detours, possible traffic delays, and alternate parking that may require shuttle service to the Aquarium.

Parking Instructions for Thursday April 10

From the 710:

Guests may exit the 710 freeway at 6th Street or Broadway. Guests should turn right on Magnolia, left on Ocean Blvd, then right on Chestnut. Turn left on Shoreline Dr. and enter the structure on the right.

The entrance of the Aquarium structure will close to inbound traffic at 1:00 p.m. All vehicles must exit the structure by 3:00pm.

If your vehicle is not removed from the AOP structure by 3:00pm you will be unable to retrieve it until Monday April 14.

Side streets:

Guests can take Ocean Blvd to Chestnut and turn left. Turn left on Shoreline Dr. and enter the Aquarium parking structure on the right.

Alternative to the Aquarium structure:

Guests may also park at The Pike parking structure and access the Aquarium on foot by walking over the rollercoaster bridge. No shuttles available to/from this location.

Friday-Sunday April 11-13

Guests will park in multiple lots in the area and will be shuttled over to the Aquarium.

From the 710 freeway:

You will likely be routed off the 710 freeway at 6th Street or Broadway. Guests should turn right on Magnolia and continue on Magnolia and cross Ocean Blvd. Guests should stay to the right and take the short offramp for “Catalina Landing/Golden Shore”. From this location, guests will be directed by Aquarium staff to the current open lot/structure.

These locations are:

1. Molina Center off of Ocean Blvd. Guests will enter this parking structure, located at Ocean Blvd and Golden Shore. Once parked, guests should proceed to the lower level – Seaside Way – and take a red shuttle bus (LB Transit) for a quick ride to the Aquarium.
2. South lot at the CSU Chancellor’s building. This is an open-air surface lot. Once parked, guests may either walk or take a white shuttle bus to the Aquarium. Look for signage and staff.
3. Pierpoint Landing lot, an open-air surface near the Aquarium’s rear circle.

Parking in all lots is $8. Some lots are pay at a kiosk pay station (card only), others will accept card and cash.

From side streets within Long Beach:

Guests can take Ocean Blvd to Magnolia/Queensway and turn left. Immediately after turning left, guests should stay to the right and take the short offramp for “Catalina Landing/Golden Shore”. From this location guests will be directed by Aquarium staff to the current operating lot/structure.

From the San Pedro area/Bridge:

Once the bridge terminates at Ocean Blvd, guests should continue on Ocean and then turn right at Magnolia/Queensway. Follow same directions above.

Monday April 14

From the 710:

Guests may exit the 710 freeway at 6th Street or Broadway. Guests should turn right on Magnolia, left on Ocean Blvd, then right on Chestnut. Turn left on Shoreline Dr. and enter the structure on the right.

Side streets:

Guests can take Ocean Blvd to Chestnut and turn left. Turn left on Shoreline Dr. and enter the structure on the right.
